You can lock periods in Magnifi to prevent users from making changes to the data. 

To lock a period, go to 'Profit - Profit and Loss' and click on the open padlock that appears next to the month. You will be prompted to lock all prior months also as per the screenshot below;

To unlock periods, simply click on the padlock and you will be prompted to unlock all future periods.
